GenScript ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing.Job Scope:Within GenScript Corporation, we are a small organization that is continuing the development, optimization and deployment of a proprietary semiconductor array-based DNA synthesis platform. We are seeking a highly motivated embedded system engineer with experience in firmware development and related circuit design. This role will focus primarily on lower-level software control of hardware and communication with a higher-level operator user interface, as well as various PCB design and layout.Key Responsibilities:Digital circuit and embedded software design to support instrument and semiconductor chip control for DNA synthesis applications. Coordinate and bridge the gap with software engineering to integrate new components into existing and new instruments.Proficient in programming ARM based embedded microcontrollers.Experience in developing applications on FreeRTOS.Familiarity with digital electronics (communication with DAC, ADC).Knowledge of industrial system sensors / devices preferred.

Design, develop, document and support embedded software / firmware systems in conjunction with continued hardware product development. Primary application is communication with synthesis hardware in concert with other monitoring and fluidic hardware components.Design, develop, document and support microcontroller-based hardware for products which may include fluidic monitoring, sensitive electronic measurements and high-speed serial communications.Qualifications:BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in product or instrument development.Required experience with C and Java programming language.Proficient with PCB layout (KiCAD preferred) and analog circuit simulation tools.Excellent documentation practices. Able to prepare documents including data summaries, technical, analytical, and scientific reports, and transfer the procedures to manufacturing.Experience designing instruments in the Life Science, biotechnology or medical device sectors beneficial. Familiarity with fluidic handling instrumentation desirable.Self-motivated and passionate. Comfortable to work in a fast-paced work environment.
