commissions!Job SummaryThe Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for the development of customer relationships and sales generation by understanding and maximizing customer and prospect product and service requirements.Proactively manages the Order Acquisition Process on assigned accounts to ensure the complete satisfaction of the customer’s requirements while pursuing additional opportunities for sales growth with customers.Essential Job Functions:From the inside, build relationships with TGC’s customer base to fully understand the customer’s requirements, communicate them to our production team, and determine our opportunities to earn additional business.Inside Sales team members will be assigned account leadership responsibility for accounts in CRM.Demonstrate technical materials and application knowledge to offer solution options to customers including cost reduction options, value added service options, lead-time improvements, and related ideas to improve customer service.Utilize the Customer Relationship Management software tool to develop, document and follow up on customer opportunities in a consistent and disciplined manner.Heavy customer/prospect communication required via the telephone. Proactive Sales and Service Calls (SSC’s) are a key part of the job requirement.Travel in partnership with Sales and Business Development team, or individually to owned accounts to identify and obtain additional business opportunities resulting in profitable sales. (1 trip of 2 to 3 days per quarter as needed)Execute the Quote Follow Up Process with discipline and responsiveness to learn what it will take to earn the business. Lead the Quote After Action Reviews as necessary to help the company learn how to earn the business in the future.Responsible for the Gross Profit / Margin Review of assigned accounts.Qualifications & Competencies:An intellectual curiosity and engineering interest in technical subject matter. An interest in personal relationship development and proactive ‘hunting’ to assist others.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers to understand and respond to their needs in a responsive fashion.Ability to utilize a CRM package and other tools to manage the sales process.Proficiency with Windows based software including Microsoft Office Applications.Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings.Strong math skills and a detail oriented information processing capability.Requires practical knowledge of products and customer applications.Preferred Experience & Education:3-5 years of experience in Customer Service, Application Engineering, Technical Sales or Engineering in a manufacturing environment.A college degree with a technical background preferred.Experience in the Electrical, Electronic or Mil/Aero Industries, and/or with Plastics and Custom Fabrication preferred.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
