seeks an attorney with 8 - 12 years of experience for our Los Angeles office. Significant experience with and specialized knowledge of California's state employment law is required. Experience counseling employers and management in a variety of employment matters is required, as is experience drafting employee manuals and developing written policies and procedures for employers.Candidates who have experience defending employers in a variety of complex employment claims, including state and federal employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations will be strongly considered. Strong research writing skills, including memo writing and drafting of pleadings, as well as excellent analytical skills, are expected. Trial experience, including discovery, preparing for and taking depositions, hearings, client counseling, motion practice, representation before administrative agencies, and first or second chairing, is required.Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong interest in business development, and an ability to manage both upwards and downwards. A collaborative and motivated approach to client service is ideal, and portable business is welcome but not required. There may be flexibility with title dependent on experience and portable business. The ideal applicants are senior associates, senior counsel, or junior partners. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and be admitted to the California Bar.Likely salary range:

$200,000 - $250,000.
