Full Job DescriptionA small consumer-oriented law practice with four (4) offices in South Florida. We specialize in consumer bankruptcy law (debtor side) as well as residential closings.Job Overview
South Florida area law firm specializing in Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Residential Real Estate Closings has an opening for a full-time attorney. Duties include conducting initial client consultations, attending court appearances and hearings, processing, reviewing, and managing cases, preparation and filing of documents, etc. Candidate must first and foremost be personable and sympathetic with a strong customer service focus, but also be able to work under pressure, and have strong organizational skills. Experience preferred (with one or more of these practice areas) but is not required. We offer a great working environment, competitive salary and benefits package.Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issuesDraft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motionsAssist in case preparation and managementCommunicate with clients and other attorneysRepresent clients in court proceedings when necessaryExperience
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice law in the state of Florida and Federal Court. Federal Court admission is not required.Proficiency in legal administrative tasks such as document management and case organizationExcellent legal drafting skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasivelyJob Type
