Senior Fund Operations Analyst / Manager Fund OperationsOur client, a venture capital firm located in San Francisco, is seeking a Finance and Operations Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director of Finance and Operations and the Finance and Operations Manager. The position involves a broad range of responsibilities including accounting, finance, budgeting, operations, investor relations, valuations, and compliance. This is a hybrid role, with the team working in the office three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the general ledger and financial records of assigned entities.Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets.Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.Ensure accurate and timely capital calls and distribution notices.Review, audit, and approve work of fund administrators.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.Provide detailed analysis of financial performance to management and clients.Support external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in asset management accounting from fund administration, audit, tax, or industry.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
