The Staff Perfusionist will provide all aspects of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary support for adult and/or pediatric patients. They will operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation necessary to support or replace a patient's own cardiopulmonary and circulatory functions, induce and reverse hypothermia and hyperthermia, write, collect, and maintain documentation for each case, and ensure maintenance of all equipment and quality control.The annual base salary range for this position is $75.17-$76.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.The Staff Perfusionist will be accountable for safely running the extracorporeal circulation technology equipment during any surgical procedure supporting the patient's native cardiopulmonary functions; regulating all temperature control for each patient's specific procedural needs; writing, collecting, and maintaining accurate documentation for each case; and ensuring maintenance and quality control of all used primary and ancillary equipment. They will be responsible for intensive care unit (ICU) support where applicable for all unit staff, registered nurses. The Staff Perfusionist will share on-call responsibilities with other staff members and participate in the clinical instruction of students during their educational experiences.Minimum Requirements

Minimum education:

Graduate from a school of perfusion technology accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).Minimum experience:

Newly graduated from an accredited perfusion program pending ABCP certification, to 3 years clinical experience.
