GIS Specialist ?specializing in GIS and Asset Management Services.?Primarily remote with onsiteWhat you'll be challenged to do:Collaborate with the team to develop and implement best practices for geospatial data management.Utilize Esri's latest software suites (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online/AGOL/WebApp and Experience Builder) for data management, analysis, and map creation (experience with Data Driven Pages preferred).Design and develop GIS systems and databases to support various departmental needs (transportation, environmental, public safety, public works). Experience working with governmental agencies a plus.Manage geospatial data in various formats, ensuring data quality and comprehensive metadata development.Prepare GIS data for publication as a service on ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, or ArcGIS ServerConduct geospatial analysis using your knowledge of data science principles. (Familiarity with machine learning and AI is a plus).Train other non-GIS professionals on utilizing GIS technology.Leverage AVL data for analysis (experience preferred, but not required).Communicate effectively, written and verbal, with a team of professionals to leverage GIS technology across the organization.Stay up-to-date on the latest GIS trends and technologies, and contribute to shaping the future direction of the team's geospatial strategy.
