They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance professional to join their team and help them maintain their commitment to quality and safety. Position Overview: As the Director of Quality Assurance & Food Safety at Mazzetta Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the companys seafood products meet and exceed the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes and procedures throughout production and distribution operations. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of seafood quality standards and regulations. This full time position will be based at company headquarters. Key Responsibilities: Create and revise product specifications and documentation to ensure they align with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement quality control policies, procedures, and standards for the seafood production process. Work with the companys quality control inspector on inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and sales, to identify and resolve quality-related issues. Monitor and maintain customers product quality and safety documentation and online portals to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions as necessary to address quality concerns. Stay up to date with industry regulations and standards related to seafood quality and safety. Oversee the implementation of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles to maintain food safety. Conduct internal audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications: The following preferences will be considered, though they are not all mandatory. Bachelor's degree in food science, marine biology, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the food industry (seafood preferred). Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and HACCP principles. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using quality control software and tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong commitment to food safety and sustainability.
