What you'll do
As the Configuration and Estimation Specialist for Utilimaster (A Shyft Brand) based at our facility in Bristol, IN, you will enjoy partnering with our Sales, Customer Service Engineering, and Design Engineering teams to create the bill of materials for costing during the quote phase. In addition, you will focus on supporting the rollout of engineering change notices and production system maintenance.
You will also:Utilize configurator data and specification information to create costed BOM's during the quote phaseSupport information maintenance in configurator and ERPEnsure that all necessary order information is centrally organized and accessiblePartner with vendors to obtain pricing estimates and delivery schedulesProcess supply chain orders and engineering change ordersCreate Item Masters and enter data for Bills of Materials into the systemDevelop Bills of Materials based on Product StructureCheck all Sales Order Requests for changes before implementing them into the systemReview all engineering change notices for completeness and the impact on BOM.Develop features and options to support Bills of MaterialsAssist Materials Management in classifying products as either buys, makes, or phantomsMonitor product costs and report variances during new product development through estimated BOMsCreate and maintain VINs, federal tag information, GVWR, pre-delivery fees, and base weightsCreate proposals for new product development design reviews by running cost analysesProvide training to new and existing personnelLearn more about The Shyft Group, Utilimaster, and Bristol, IN by exploring the
