What you'll do

As the Business Development Manager (Remote) for Utilimaster (A Shyft Brand), you will enjoy meeting or exceeding sales goals of your assigned accounts by promoting the company's suite of fleet solutions.You will also be expected to utilize your consultative selling skills and sales techniques to continuously develop long-term customer relationships, increase profit margins, and acquire new clients. section below.What you'll be doingDelivering profitable sales to the organization through relationship building and solutions deliveryExecuting a consultative selling processSecuring long-term client commitments that can deliver sustainable growthMeeting minimum performance goals (MPG) established by Sales managementDelivering the company value proposition with the goal of signing new businessSelling the entire company suite of solutions to new prospectsEngaging in expansion opportunities of current clientsDocumenting sales activity in CRM softwareCompleting pipeline and expense reportsIncreasing company market share through cold calling and following up from leads provided by corporate, referrals, and mailing listsDeveloping and maintaining a prospect databaseQualifying prospects through pre-call planning and information gatheringRecommending whether the prospect is a viable clientAssessing your prospects' needs against available products and servicesDeveloping and presenting sales proposals about product selection, sales terms, and delivery datesMaking presentations and conducting sales meetings to fleet decision makersPartnering with our Client Development Manager and other departments during onboardingCurating data relative to marketing trends, competitors' products, and pricingSubmitting marketing intelligence reports to Sales managementSubmitting sales forecasts regarding quantity and sales price to the operations teamConducting route rides to gather prospect input and identify needsIdentifying marketing programs and sales aids that would increase salesWhat you need to be successful

Seven or more (7+) years of business-to-business outside sales expertise and a High School Diploma or GED, or a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related discipline with 3+ years of B2B outside sales expertiseDeep understanding of the consultative sales process and general business operationsProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookWhat makes you stand outBachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related discipline with 3+ years of B2B outside sales expertiseExperience selling custom solutions to utilities/construction/maintenance business segments is highly preferredLearn MoreThe content below is exclusively available on our careers site job description:
