We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with prior experience inspecting mechanical parts and composites. The ideal candidate should be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings , inspection plans, and experienced with utilizing various inspection tools and techniques.
Responsibilities:Conduct source inspection activities at two supplier locations in Wichita, Kansas.Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Utilize various inspection methods and tools to verify product integrity and adherence to engineering requirements.Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical and composites components.Compile comprehensive inspection reports and sign-off sheets.Validate equipment calibration and inspection methodology suitability.Review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for completeness and compliance.Ensure shipping documentation accuracy and completeness.Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role.Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and inspection plans.Familiarity with inspection tools, CMM programs and visual inspection techniques.Knowledge of aerospace or automotive industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Must be willing to undergo background checkPossession of a personal vehicle for transportation between supplier sites.
$29 - $31 an hour
Portal to Portal (P2P) rate for any travel time
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($0.67 per mile driven). Untaxed.
