Position Summary

This position is designed to facilitate the development, review, approval and submission of extramurally funded grant applications and federally funded contracts in the Office of Research Services (ORS), for the entire 6-school health sciences center (HSC).

To expand the services provided to researchers and support the research goal of the institution, the ORS pre-award office seeks a highly organized and detailed oriented person as the Grants Compliance Specialist (GCS). In this role the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing internal routing packets and externally funded grant applications for the entire 6-school health sciences center. The GCS will provide direct support to researchers and their support staff and ensure applications for funding are complete and in compliance with sponsor and university requirements. Additionally, the GCS will identify potential funding opportunities with federal, state and private funders, and disseminate funding opportunity information to the university community. This position reports to and works closely with the ORS Grants Office Manager. This position also reports to the Director of the Office of Research Services.
