Position OverviewThe Workplace Technology Hardware Asset Management engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's hardware assets. This includes overseeing the lifecycle of all Workplace Technology hardware assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring that they are efficiently used, accounted for, and properly documented throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will be required to perform internal audits and maintain an accurate record of all IT assets.Key Responsibilities:Lifecycle Management : Oversee the company's hardware asset management program, ensuring all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, and other devices, are accurately tracked and maintained throughout their lifecycle.ITAM Program : Develop and maintain processes to track and report on asset usage and performance, providing insights to management to inform decision-making. Provide guidance and support to other teams on asset management best practices, policies, and procedures.Hardware Standards : Assess and maintain hardware standards for laptops, desktops, and computer peripherals. Test new models for compatibility in our environment.Disposal : Manage the disposal and recycling of IT assets in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies. Manage asset retirement, data wiping, and equipment recycling processes.Warranty Repair : Submit hardware warranty cases to OEM manufacturers for repair, tracking and identifying trends in hardware warranty requests.Security and Risk Management : Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that asset management practices align with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3+ years of experience in IT asset managementStrong knowledge of asset management tools and software, such as Ivanti Asset Manager or similar toolsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a team and to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesCertification in IT Asset Management (CHAMP, CITAD)This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $69,000 - $94,000 per year.ACS currently provides the following benefits for this position: paid vacation leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance, flexible spending account or health care savings account, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, retirement benefits, short- and long-term disability, and 4-week work from anywhere; each benefit is subject to the terms of the applicable program.
