A Day in the LifeCareers that Change LivesPosition can be based onsite 3 days in Fridley, MNThis role is a member of the Global R&D Center of Expertise, which is responsible for driving efficiencies in the R&D Finance space. As a member of the COE, this role will help deliver on Finance objectives by collaborating with OU finance business partners and region/functional finance teams to standardize reporting, optimize resources and develop operational efficiencies.We believe that when people from different cultures, genders, and points of view come together, innovation is the result — and everyone wins. A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Assist with identifying month-end financial reporting efficiencies through migrating to Power BIPartner with CAS R&D leaders in the delivery of and interpretation of month-end results with variance analysisIdentify and assist in the development of training requirements and supporting documentationPrepare presentation materialsImagine new possibilities and creative solutions that drive improved effectiveness and efficiencyDefine and document baseline performance metrics and KPIsMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance or AccountingNice to HaveHigh energy, results-orientated individual with good analytical and problem-solving skillsProgressive, innovative mind-set with ability to recognize improvement opportunities and ideate the futureProven ability to interface in team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areasStrong business acumen – Ability to identify business issues/opportunities and to frame business questions; Can operate with a degree of ambiguity and make informed assumptions to fill gaps in dataStrong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong relationshipsExecutive presence – Capable of being both a process expert and interacting with senior leadership (e.g. Finance Executive Committee, Business Leadership)Must be highly motivated and able to work independently, capable of handling multiple requests and deadlines simultaneouslyFlexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and changing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, including group facilitation experienceGreen, Yellow, Black or Master Black Belt certificationBachelor’s or master’s degree with emphasis in Finance or AccountingMBA or CPAPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
