The Assistant Program Director, Diversity Equity And Inclusion (DEI) for the UCR School of Medicine is responsible for strengthening and facilitating departmental and institutional efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through the facilitation and implementation of programs and initiatives. Under the leadership and supervision of the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this role will be integral to establishing best practices and programs within the newly established Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at UCR SOM, which is ranked as the 5th most diverse medical school in the country.

In addition, the Assistant Program Director assists with UCR SOM outreach and retention initiatives, represents the unit and facilitates presentations at applicable campus events, and collaborates with campus partners on academic services and programs. The mission of the UC Riverside SOM is to improve the health of the people of California and, especially, to serve Inland Southern California by training a diverse workforce of physicians and by developing innovative research and health care delivery programs that will improve the health of the medically underserved in the region and become models to be emulated throughout the state and nation. This position provides support to faculty, non-faculty academics, staff, and students.

The full salary range for the Assistant Program Director, Diversity Equity And Inclusion is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $103,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
