The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing cellular and biomarker assays, as well as conducting high-throughput
in vitro
drug screening. Utilizing robotic automation, liquid handling, and assay readout platforms, you will generate valuable screening data and support the growth of our platform capabilities. This position requires a strong grasp of basic molecular biology techniques and will offer exceptional hands-on learning opportunities and involves close collaboration with our scientists on innovative early-stage drug discovery programs.
Responsibilities
Develop and validate functional assays to support new target initiation, hit identification and MOA studies.Optimize assays for sensitivity, specificity, and high-throughput screening.Execute
in vitro
assays for high-throughput screening of Kimia chemical libraries.Analyze and interpret screening data and identify hits.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate assays into discovery pipelines.Document and maintain accurate records of assay protocols and experimental data.Interpret and present research findings to multidisciplinary project teams.Qualifications
BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, or a related field.At least two years of hands-on research experience with
in vitro
drug screening and cell-based assays.Experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, and cell culture.Proficient in assay data analysis.Experience with the design and troubleshooting of
in vitro
assays is highly desirable.Experience with high-throughput small molecule drug screening is a plus.Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
$85,000 - $121,000 a year
The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 for Research Associate II and $99,000 to $121,000 for Senior Research Associate. The final salary will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
