In this role, you will be responsible for completing auto physical damage appraisals with precision, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in writing auto damage appraisals, expertise in insurance carrier appraisal processes, and proficiency in appraisal estimating software. What does a MATERIAL DAMAGE APPRAISER do at GAINSCO?Field Responsibilities:Conduct field inspections within the assigned geographic territory in an efficient and timely manner.Accurately inspect, assess, and appraise damaged vehicles through the application of company guidelines and proper repair methods.Utilize estimating software to evaluate and document accident-related damages.Manage the repair process to ensure timely completion.Maintain good communication with the customer and their shop of choice to provide updates, explain the repair process, and assist them with the handling of their claim.Efficiently handle an estimate workload that primarily consists of field appraisals, but is supplemented by writing virtual appraisals that utilize photos submitted by customers.What is required?Education:High School Diploma or EquivalentLicenses/ Certifications:To perform the essential functions of this job an active Texas or Florida Adjuster License will be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements.Upon hire, additional license(s) may be required.If that is the case, license(s) must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
