Job Description
Job Summary
Serves as the overall Application Architect for Salesforce at Synovus. Serves as trusted advisor, providing direction and guidance on organizational strategy and functional architecture. Manages and is responsible for all technical aspects of solutions built on the Salesforce platform, including AppExchange products, custom code, configuration, data quality, and devops. Manages and is accountable for overall solution design including all Salesforce components, integration, and reporting. Provides best practice and approaches to functional and technical resources. Collaborates with internal technology teams to develop solutions. Works closely with functional leaders, line of business leaders and subject matter experts in developing solutions that support strategic business needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Works with leads to transform and develop new requirements into designs, development approaches and implementation. Recommends products from the Salesforce AppExchange. Establishes KPIs to measure success of Salesforce solutions. Leads designs and execution of business solutions.Contributes to program vision while advising and articulating Salesforce roadmap to support line-of-business partners. Provides functional architecture strategy and guidance to change requests and projects. Aligns with data and integration teams to configure bi-directional integrations.Advises and mentors diverse teams in technical and functional delivery aspects at the program level, using influence where application architect does not have direct authority over resources. Executes solution reviews with development team. Reviews, guides and approves functional and technical design. Defines and oversees configuration standards. Provides technical leadership on projects by providing necessary guidance to junior team members to follow Salesforce best practices.Defines best practice standards for design, coding, environment and data. Determines when to use configuration versus code. Supports documentation of application architecture deliverables that are consistent with the methodologies and best practices.Facilitates technical design sessions with teams, including the creation of class modes, sequence diagrams, component models, and detail design specifications for ensuring that the architectural standards are followed.Performs routine review of code, configuration, data, and usage to ensure long-term viability, integrity and adoption. Manages and is responsible for platform maintenance and DevOps. Migrates changes from development to test to production environments using CI technologies such as Salesforce DX, Jenkins, or Flosum.Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum Experience:
Eight years of experience driving and managing projects/portfolios, working with or managing technical onshore or offshore resources, and hands on development experience using Salesforce configuration and customizations such as Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Scheduled and batch classes.Certifications:
Salesforce certification such as Architect, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer or Data Architecture Management Designer.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Extended knowledge of technical capabilities such as Lighting, Visual Force, Apex, APIs, APEX Triggers and Web ServicesKnowledge of product development lifecycle and DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Jira, FlosumStrong presentation and communication skills to present the Salesforce Solution and lead design sessionsAbility to create solution design documentation that supports the business requirements and processesAbility to comprehend business requirements and provide business solutionsAbility to lead design sessions with business usersAbility to interface with all levels and business unitsStrong written, verbal presentation and organization skillsAdditional Information
