Job Overview:
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting computer and systems/networks for our clients. The ideal Engineer is proud of their work and has the drive and passion to be inquisitive and not afraid to fail. This person is reliable, personable, and trustworthy. They are professional, presentable, and employ active listening when engaging with our clients. The right candidate will be successful if they can build trusting relationships with our clients. There is travel required.
Responsibilities/Job Functions:Manage all aspects of IT needs for clients performed by remote support or onsite visits, including but not limited to switching, IP endpoint devices, server management and user level issuesWork with internal help desk to resolve customer issues after escalation from ticket submissionDevelop, install, and maintain small to large network infrastructure deploymentsProtect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures based upon company standards and solutionsDiligent and effective communication with clients, sales, and team membersAttentive customer service, focused on client satisfactionRecommend, plan, and implement new technologies that move a client's business forwardAttend and engage in team meetingsMeet professional development requirementsMaintain weekly time and expense records inside of the PSA platform for work/travel performed as per policyOccasional on-call work is required based on team rotationMinimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Information Technology - network or systems administration is preferredMinimum 4 years of network administration experience with strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.Ability to be a self-starter with little supervisionHands on experience and strong knowledge with VMware, business class firewalls and switchingStrong knowledge in Server 2012/2016/2019, Exchange 2013/2016/2019, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network design and implementation.Experience in the managed service provider space is a plus
