Job Overview:

A law firm in Reno, NV, is seeking an experienced Life Science IP Partner to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a substantial portable and consistent book of business exceeding $600,000 and expertise in handling a broad spectrum of life science intellectual property matters, including prosecution, transactional, and litigation activities.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage life science intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, IP transactions, and litigation.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging a substantial business book.Provide strategic legal advice on complex IP issues related to life sciences, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licensing and collaboration agreements.Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff within the firm.Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and technological advancements in the life sciences sector.Represent clients in negotiations, arbitrations, and court proceedings as required.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IP strategies aligned with client’s business objectives.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.Requirements:Proven track record with a portable book of business exceeding $600,000.Extensive experience in life science intellectual property law, including prosecution, transactional, and litigation matters.Demonstrated ability to manage complex IP portfolios and lead high-stakes legal projects.Strong client relationship management skills and business development acumen.Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Undergraduate degree in a life science-related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering) is preferred.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (Nevada).Skills:In-depth knowledge of life science industry regulations and intellectual property law.Proven leadership and team management abilities.High level of proficiency in legal research, analysis, and writing.Strong business development skills and the ability to leverage existing client relationships.Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
