The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in life science prosecution, transactional work, and litigation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can build and maintain client relationships and lead complex life science intellectual property matters.Duties:Manage and expand a portable business book valued at $600,000.Provide expert legal counsel on life science intellectual property matters, including prosecution, transactional issues, and litigation.Develop and implement strategies for protecting and monetizing life science IP assets.Represent clients in patent and trademark prosecution, licensing agreements, and IP litigation.Lead and supervise junior attorneys and support staff, ensuring high-quality legal service and professional development.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.Collaborate with other firm practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.Stay updated on industry trends and life science IP law changes to offer relevant and timely advice.Requirements:Demonstrated portable book of business exceeding $600,000.Extensive experience in life science IP prosecution, transactional matters, and litigation.Proven track record of successfully managing complex life science IP cases.Strong business development skills with the ability to attract and retain clients.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.A bachelor’s degree in life science is preferred (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry).Certifications:Admission to the State Bar in Colorado or the ability to gain admission promptly.Skills:In-depth knowledge of life science intellectual property laws and regulations.Proven ability to handle high-stakes IP litigation and complex transactional matters.Strong client relationship management and business development skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead effectively.
