A law firm in Seattle, WA, seeks a highly experienced and accomplished Life Science IP Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a significant portable and consistent book of business valued at $600,000 and possess expertise in a diverse range of life science intellectual property matters, including prosecution, transactional work, and litigation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage life science intellectual property cases, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.Develop and execute strategic plans for IP prosecution, including drafting and filing patent applications, responses, and amendments.Oversee and direct complex IP litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.Provide expert legal advice on IP matters related to life sciences, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.Cultivate and maintain client relationships, leveraging a solid book of business to generate new opportunities.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop IP strategies aligned with their business objectives.Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and technological advancements in life sciences and intellectual property.Mentor and guide junior attorneys and support staff within the firm.Requirements:Demonstrated portable and consistent books of business valued at $600,000 or more.Extensive experience in life science intellectual property law, including prosecution, transactional work, and litigation.Proven track record of success in managing complex IP matters and achieving favorable outcomes.Strong client relationship management and business development skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.A bachelor’s degree in a life science field or related discipline is preferred.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in the state of Washington.Skills:In-depth knowledge of life science, intellectual property law, and industry practices.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven leadership and management capabilities.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
