As Senior Legal Counsel/Litigation, you are a highly skilled individual with expertise in diverse areas of law, particularly litigation, encompassing contract, real estate, construction, personal injury, and more. You have strong litigation capabilities, including court representation, case management, and extensive legal analysis. Effective communication skills are vital for representing Massport and providing legal counsel to internal departments. You possess management and problem-solving abilities, a deep understanding of the regulatory environment, and a commitment to ethical conduct, while also being adaptable to a rapidly changing legal landscape.What you will do:Represent Massport in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and administrative hearings while managing litigation matters and providing strategic recommendations.Develop expertise in substantive areas, such as breach of contract, real estate, personal injury, and more, while collaborating with external legal counsel, conducting case assessments, and handling trial preparations.Analyze legal implications, review case law, craft opinions, guide activities, and stay current on relevant laws.Deliver continuous legal counsel to various Massport units, participating in meetings, hearings, and presenting on Massport-related cases and concerns.Minimum Requirements:J.D., along with demonstrated expertise in legal analysis, document drafting, and administrative, regulatory, and constitutional law.5 years of litigation experience, encompassing significant trial and motion practice in both state and federal courts, proficiency in all facets of the discovery process, substantial experience in preparing dispositive motions, and a strong background in creating supporting memoranda.Membership in Massachusetts Bar.Collaboration with colleagues at all levels of leadership from all different disciplines, from Aviation to Maritime and beyond.
