A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in drafting state and federal court pleadings and handling discovery-related matters. This role requires strong academic credentials, a strong work ethic, and excellent attention to detail. Active membership in the Oregon State Bar is required, and membership in the Washington State Bar is a plus.Duties:Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for state and federal court cases.Manage and oversee discovery processes, including the review and production of documents.Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports and memoranda.Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a timely manner.Maintain case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff as needed.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.Significant experience in drafting state and federal court pleadings.Extensive experience handling discovery-related matters.Strong academic or professional credentials.Active membership in the Oregon State Bar; Washington State Bar membership is a plus.Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Oregon State Bar is required.Washington State Bar membership is preferred but not required.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
