The ideal candidate will have 0-10 years of experience in insurance defense, with a strong background in handling various aspects of civil litigation. This position requires an attorney with excellent communication, analytical, research, and writing skills, who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, representing clients in complex insurance defense matters.Key Responsibilities:Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including all stages of litigation from inception through trial.Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and conducting depositions.Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel, providing updates and discussing case strategies.Prepare for and assist in trial proceedings as necessary.Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.Requirements:Experience:
0-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a strong understanding of civil litigation procedures.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bar Admission:
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.Litigation Skills:
Previous experience with depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.Skills:Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Proficient in legal research, writing, and document drafting.Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
