This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, with a focus on auto and general liability cases.Key Responsibilities:Handle a variety of auto and general liability cases from inception to resolution.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, disclosures, and conducting depositions.Participate in court appearances, including arguing motions and attending hearings.Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and litigation plans.Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and discussing case progress.Prepare and present cases effectively in court, including trials and settlement negotiations.Work closely with insurance companies and adjusters to manage cases and achieve favorable outcomes.Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines.Requirements:Experience:
1-5 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Bar Admission:
Active member in good standing with the Utah State Bar.Litigation Skills:
Experience with discovery, disclosures, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and making court appearances.Skills:Strong understanding of civil litigation and insurance defense principles.Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills.High level of client service with a commitment to delivering exceptional legal representation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.High motivation and a strong work ethic.
