The Gordon Laboratory seeks a motivated
Postdoctoral Fellow to spearhead cutting-edge experimental genetics studies focusing on virus infection and immune function . Our lab applies advanced CRISPR and proteomics techniques to gain mechanistic insights into human disease and explore novel immunotherapeutic and antiviral approaches.Preferred qualifications include:Molecular biology and experimental genetics (siRNA, CRISPR, PCR, DNA cloning, etc)Virology expertise and/or handling of blood borne pathogensTransfection, viral transduction, and/or electroporation of genetic materialDNA sequence analysis (Snapgene, Geneious or other DNA analysis tools)Statistical training and/or experience analyzing large datasets (optional)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.This is a superb opportunity for a sharp scientist to rapidly develop new research skills and spearhead impactful projects in a supportive learning environment.
