Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Mid-level IP Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of IP litigation, from pre-trial through post-trial processes, and will possess a technical background in a relevant field. This role emphasizes professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to client relations within a team-oriented culture.Duties:Handle all phases of IP litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.Draft and file pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.Manage discovery processes, including serving and responding to discovery requests, addressing discovery disputes, and working with clients on discovery issues.Prepare and argue motions and appeals.Depose witnesses and handle document discovery with e-discovery tools.Manage arbitration proceedings and assist in trial preparation and execution.Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and provide legal counsel.Engage in business development activities to contribute to the firm's growth and success.Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IP litigation, with at least 3 years of required expertise in all aspects of litigation.Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, managing e-discovery, and participating in arbitration and trials.Strong technical background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar field.Professional demeanor with a dedication to attention to detail and client relations.Experience in a team-oriented environment and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.Certifications:California Bar admission and USPTO admission are strongly preferred.Skills:Proficient in drafting legal documents and conducting complex discovery processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.Experienced with e-discovery tools and arbitration processes.Commitment to business development and fostering client relationships.
