Relieves Statewide Services and Outreach (SSO) leadership and staff of routine administrative duties: schedules and coordinates transportation for SSO staff including in and out of the state; maintains access to state vehicle records, keys, and payment card for drivers in centralized location; transports staff to meetings and events throughout the state including overnight travel as needed; makes recommendations regarding program activities, researches and analyzes materials, information and programs, provides technical information and advice to administrators to aid in decision making, assists in developing new procedures related to established program policy, serves as liaison between administrator and subordinates, transmits decisions and directives and represents administrator at meetings and conferences.

Manages business functions of administrator's office; prepares and monitors budgets; assists with payroll processing; processes invoices for payment; purchases supplies and equipment for SSO staff; keeps fiscal and personnel records.

Utilizes Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Forms, etc.) to prepare reports, publications, memos and presentations for dissemination statewide; drafts and maintains Customer Satisfaction Surveys for a variety of SSO projects and short-term programming; assists with maintaining and updating SSO Team Master Calendar; performs public relations duties; researches and responds to inquiries and complaints; furnishes information and explains Statewide Services and Outreach programs to public; works on special assignments and projects as directed.

Daytime travel within Ohio is required with occasional overnight stays. The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license in order to operate a state vehicle.

Qualifications

18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.

-Or 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Position Specific Minimum Qualification:

Valid driver's license in order to operate a state vehicle.
