The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) currently operates 15 aviation maintenance campuses around the country. We enroll 4,000 out of the roughly 20,000 students attending A&P schools nationwide (20%), and while there are 175 colleges around the country that are certified by the FAA to teach these programs, the 15 AIM schools produce nearly 1 out of every 4 certified aircraft technicians each year in America!

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Campus Executive Director to lead our campus located in Kansas City, MO.

The Campus Executive Director is primarily accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the college campus including recruitment and retention of students, managing budget, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with State and regulatory body requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Oversee Accreditation, State requirements, and other regulatory body requirements for School with direction from Corporate Compliance.

Increase student active count via retention and enrollment.

Prepare operational budget with assistance of Regional Director.

Manage payroll of school ensuring budget compliance.

Manage physical facilities of school being aware of all associated costs, including utilities and rent.

Staff school in all departments with assistance from respective Corporate Department Directors and Regional Director.

Structure all staff/faculty positions within school following Policies and Procedures using published Job Descriptions for each position.

Prepare for initial or recurring accreditation.

Coordinate and present at PAC (Program Advisory Committee) semi-annual meetings.

Manage and/or assign Advisory Board meetings to appropriate staff member.

Assign educational duties to Director of Education or similar position where educational programs and student educational needs are the main focus and priority.

Review and act on or assign to appropriate staff all employee grievances while communicating to Regional Director or Director of Human Resources.

Become knowledgeable of Human Resource topics and where to receive information from Corporate.

Report to Corporate Human Resources any awareness of an employee medical condition that would result in eligibility for FMLA or ADAAA.

Hold monthly School meetings where each School department is represented to assure complete communications of School Policies and Procedures.

Uphold the School, its staff, its students, and its programs in the highest regard.

Maintain a positive working relationship with school and corporate staff.

Any other duties as assigned by Regional Director, President, or Vice President of Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Campus Executive Director supervises entire school staff including the Director of Education, Director of Compliance & Administration, Registrar, and other positions directed to report to the Campus Executive Director.

Education and/or Experience

Must have at least three (3) years of management experience within a post-secondary educational institution, preferably within the private sector.

Should hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or substantial documentation of professional and scholarly achievements and/or demonstrated competences in administration/institutional management.

Experience in Admissions preferred.

Must be an organized, detail-oriented self-starter.

Positive business and sales aptitude and background.

Solid employee relations, problem-solving, and teamwork skills required.

Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Individual contributor as well as an effective leader; skills in diplomacy and assertiveness.

Excellent MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.

CampusVue and SharePoint experience a plus.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Prefer residence within community or short commuting distance.
