Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Custodial Lead position for the Memorial Union at Oregon State University (OSU). The successful candidates will work with the MU custodial supervisor and custodial team to coordinate weekend custodial operations throughout the Memorial Union Organization.
Position Duties
Lead fellow student staff in maintaining MU organization custodial coverage throughout the day
Ensure meeting rooms, bathrooms, events spaces, and common spaces are clean and ready for guests
Report problems, breakdowns, and disturbances to MU Building Management
Assist in opening or securing doors, windows, and other access points in all MU facilities
Pass down daily reports and status of projects in both written and verbal format to other staff across shifts
Coordinate appropriate custodial response to immediate spill & thrill situations throughout all MU Buildings
Participate in weekly meetings as part of the MU Building Operations Team
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Student custodial experience
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Experience in leadership role
