Overview:

The Build-To-Test Planner develops inspection reports and supports the identification of test requirements for New Construction and Post Shakedown Availability contracts across the Company during generation of Work Packages and ensuring world class technical accuracy, quality, cost and schedule for all Virginia & Columbia Class delivered products. Specific responsibilities include:In depth knowledge of Planning including Artemis Data Maintenance, Work Package Development, and Change Maintenance with the systems that support those processes.Responsible for all non-electrical inspection and test work packages, to include ensuring all required Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) has been obtained among HII-NNS, Quonset Point and Groton.Analyze and translate Design/Engineering information to ensure all Diagram, Construction Support Diagram, and Test Form inspection/test requirements are met and identified during work package development in support of the Test plan.Provide technical expertise as it relates to the Construction Support Diagram (CSD) interpretation and provide input to the decision making process to identify testable sections of a systemParticipate in Test Form reviews associated with HII-NNS, Quonset Point and Groton installations, and through the use of the CSD, ensuring each system has been consumed in its entirety.Maintain a strong interface with the Test Department and Operations in support of inspections, tests and OPCON of all HM&E, S&EP and Nuclear systemsAssist Shipyard Trades and Ship Management in ensuring all the work in a Test Form is accounted for in MRPII based upon the mechanisms of Build and Test in support of the construction and test schedules and MRP work ordersWork closely with all Planning, Operations, Design / Engineering and Test disciplines in the development of configuration drawings in a Design / Build Team and construction environment as required.Represent Planning in Construction, Process Improvement, or Program review meetingsParticipate in the development of new Planning processes and update procedures accordingly.

Qualifications:Required:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum (4) years in a Shipyard Planning Department; or equivalent Navy / Shipyard experience associated with Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Sheet Metal, Quality, Test, or Design DisciplinesSecurity ClearanceInternal candidates must be from organizations outside of QP operations (Gabriel)

Preferred:Understanding of NX / Team CenterExperience using MRPII, EWP/PCM, and ArtemisExperience using Construction DrawingsFour (4) years of Navy / Shipyard Experience in Testing, Piping and use of Technical Drawings
