Travel Nurse RN - OR in Montgomery, AL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Surgery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years (travelers must have at least 2 years of experience) License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Strong experience in Trauma (excluding burns), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, Ortho spine, Ortho (including total joint experience), Gyn, Endovascular, Urology, Robotics for both General and Neuro, Plastics, Breasts, and Eyes - RN circulator experience only - Prefer experience with robotic systems such as Robotic Mazor/DaVinci XI Job Description: - Work in a facility with 492 beds and multiple specialized units, including a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU - Manage patient ratios of 1:1 primarily with minimal pediatrics, typically orthopedic cases - Participate in a two-week orientation on day shift, taking buddy calls during this period - Collaborate with OR desk assistants, charge nurses, and team leaders for various service lines - Use technology and equipment such as Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell for medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors - Handle scheduling responsibilities, including weekend rotations and being on-call one day during weekdays and one weekend per month - Expected to work one holiday per contract - Required to wear green scrubs provided by the facility This role offers a challenging opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where advanced surgical procedures and patient care are prioritized.
