The Human Resources (HR) Partner will serve as the primary HR contact for the English, Philosophy, and Race, Gender, and Ethnic Studies departments within the College of Liberal Arts. This role includes managing recruitment strategies, employee retention strategies, performance management, onboarding, and HR change processing.Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, organizational development, or a related field.Two years professional HR experience, including experience in an HR Information System/Applicant Tracking System.Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to a diverse and inclusive employment environment.Preferred Job Qualifications

HR or Payroll experience in a higher education environment.Master’s degree in a related field.4 or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in HR.Experience with HR systems like Workday, PeopleAdmin, Oracle, or ADP.Professional certification such as PHR/SHRM-CP.Diversity Statement

Onboarding, Offboarding, and Retention (20%):Responsible for onboarding of new employees and ensuring a robust onboarding experience.Identify career development opportunities for faculty and staff to increase retention.Conduct exit surveys and implement solutions to improve retention.Process offboarding for exiting employees.Review retention strategies for key positions.Create and facilitate new hire orientations.Employee Relations and Performance Management (30%):Create and manage performance evaluation processes.Guide department chairs on personnel matters.Identify opportunities for professional development.Gather data to improve workplace culture.Recruitment and Workforce Planning (25%):Analyze workforce and conduct recruitment efforts.Manage departmental recruitment strategies.Provide guidance on position descriptions.Serve as an Equal Opportunity Coordinator.HR Operations and General HR Oversight (25%):Advise managers on employment laws and policies.Create HR metrics and reports.Manage HRIS systems for the departments.Maintain departmental personnel records.Conditions of Employment
