For more than 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers' evolving needs.Job DescriptionAllstate Insurance Company is looking for a current 3L Law student to join the Client Litigation Services (CLS) Department as a Senior Consultant I (3L Law Clerk). CLS represents policyholders in claims-related litigation/disputes across the country and also represents the Company in the defense of low and moderate exposure bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.While awaiting the results of the bar examination and subsequent admission to the bar, under the direction and supervision of an admitted attorney, the Senior Consultant I prepares pleadings and motions, conducts discovery, including reviewing documents, interviewing clients, preparing trial materials, and summarizing and analyzing research.Key ResponsibilitiesReview new file assignments and draft initial pleadings (e.g., answer, motion, etc.) and draft discovery.Prepare briefs to assist clients in presenting cases in small claims court (CA).Draft responses to discovery demands.Assist clients in answering questions regarding discovery.Review and serve responses to discovery demands.Assist attorney in preparing materials for trial, arbitration, or mediation.Attend arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials with admitted attorney.The position begins in early to mid-August while waiting for results of the bar exam.EducationJuris Doctor (Required)2024 3L Law student; awaiting bar results.Functional Skills3 or more years of experience (Preferred).Foundational skills/abilities/experiences in legal knowledge, business knowledge, issue management, analytical skills, influencing others (inside and outside the company), coaching and development, self-development, and productivity.Technical skills including MS Office suite.Project management skills and law firm/vendor management.Foundational legal and business knowledge.Foundational analytical skills.SkillsCustomer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Evidence Gathering, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Legal Document Preparation, Legal Research, Litigation, Mediation, Results-Oriented.CompensationCompensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - 114,175.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job - it's an opportunity that encourages you to challenge the status quo and impact the future for the greater good.Good Hands.
