Job Summary

Provide the strategy, activity, and sales results to deliver exceptional service and drive financial success. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from both leisure and business travel markets. Enable innovation and drive results. Effectively manage the leisure and business transient sales efforts of the hotel in order to exceed individual financial goals. Work together to provide top quality service and be guest focused.

Job Duties

Increase market share from the Special Corporate Segment in the comp set.

Manage all Consortia segments, channels and leisure agent relationships.

Manage all Entertainment contacts, relationships, and leads.

Achieve monthly top line revenue goals and increase the STAR market share of the hotel.

Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans targeting leisure and business travel sectors including weekly prospecting goals.

Proactively sell the hotel through face-to-face appointments with customers, tele-prospecting, etc.

Participate in sales blitzes and utilize available business tools to prospect for new business.

Gain contacts and business intelligence and show community spirit through involvement in appropriate organizations.

Ensure adherence to all sales administrative processes that are in place including preparation and submission of reports or internal communications and meeting deadlines.

Build strong relationships and loyalty with top producing clients.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.

2 years of Leisure and Business Transient sales experience.

Luxury segment experience is preferred.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving skills.

Interpersonal and time management skills.

Well-organized and strong client follow-up.

Functional computer skills including experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, hear, listen, talk, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.

Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 15 lbs.
