The HR Manager, Employee Experience plays a vital role in supporting smooth processes and workflow, with the position’s focuses being enabling, unlocking and optimizing the Employee Experience at Schwazze at the highest level by providing support for Engagement and Cultural Enhancement initiatives, managing payroll processes, and administering LOA and Benefits programs. They will lead employee engagement efforts, assist in the timely processing of payroll by delivering accurate data, reporting, and other information as requested, and be the primary contact for our LOA and Benefit programs. This employee will directly interface with employees and external partners to resolve issues, obtain information, or otherwise provide frontline service. They will have direct influence on building and sustaining a culture where the team believes in Schwazze as the Employer of Choice in Cannabis and to develop an organization that attracts and retains talented employees. The HR Manager, Employee Experience will be a vital leader in the organization, ensuring growth and promoting a culture that values employees at all levels. They will be responsible for delivering experiences that support employee productivity and engagement by being hands-on, paying close attention to detail and processes while being flexible, open-minded, and enthusiastic about taking on a role that will help the company grow and evolve.Major Functions:Payroll Administration (40%):

Maintain and gather payroll data, including wages, tips, hours, deductions, corrections, and other process-driven deliverables as requested.Create accurate, timely reporting; provide frontline analysis and observations of trends, patterns, errors, and extract meaningful information as needed.Assist in auditing and reconciliation of payroll data for errors.Communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues, describe payroll actions, and verify data (employee, hour, wage, etc.) accuracy.Provide accurate and timely data entry.Assist in the preparation and submission of responses to government notices, including reporting requirements and handling garnishment orders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and timelines.

Employee Engagement (20%):

Holds a trusted and reliable seat at the table with core business partners, focusing on driving consistent positive employee relations, improved engagement efforts, enhanced retention, strong data analytics, and a strong pulse on the organization.Leads employee survey action planning, survey administration, survey data analytics and reporting. Engages mid-Senior management level in action planning process to optimize the survey results in an actionable way.Identify initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Recommend strategies to foster a positive employee experience and strengthen the employer-employee relationship.Partners with the HRLT in support of ongoing and future projects, in alignment with the 2024 Annual People/Culture plan.Maintains, owns and delivers regular data analytical support to HRLT, including reporting out on quantitative data as well as qualitative data insights obtained from the data and through engagement within the field.

HRMS Systems Administrator (20%):

Manage and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the HRMS.Oversee the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) processes between Wurk and Lattice.Regularly audit HR data to ensure consistency and accuracy.Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and integration issues.Maintain documentation of data transfer processes and protocols.

Benefits Administration (10%):

Facilitate a smooth and timely enrollment or other benefit change process.Provide new and existing employees with training, information, and resources to help guide their decisions.Assist employees through the change process when they experience a life change event.Assist in the timely reconciliation, audit, invoicing, and payment of plan fees.Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to protected and private information.Assist employees with resolving challenges with benefit plan carriers.

Leave of Absence Administration (10%):

Coordinate, track and manage Company leaves of absence – including FMLA, FAMLI, Company provided leaves, military leaves, etc.Serve as the point of contact for absence inquiries, educating employees and managers on the leave process.Communicate with employees, managers, and HR professionals to coordinate the return-to-work process.Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and municipal leave laws and regulations.

Requirements:3-5 years of experience in Human Resources; minimum 3 years of experience supporting or administering benefits, LOA’s or Payroll.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent experience.Working understanding of best practices related to employment law, payroll (wage & hour) and benefit compliance.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.Working Conditions:Full-time position is based in Colorado.Monday – Friday; holidays, nights and weekend work may be necessary.Ability to obtain and maintain a Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Badge in the state of Colorado.Benefits:401(k) + Employer MatchMedical/Dental/Vision InsurancePet InsuranceEAP ProgramsPaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Discount at all Schwazze Retail locationsSchwazze is committed to fairness and equality of opportunity in the workplace.
