Responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including scope, schedule, and budget. Also responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department at the local level.The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from any JMT office in the state of North Carolina.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leadersEstablish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business developmentManage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordinglyLead and contribute to the production of proposalsServe as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staffEstablish resource staffing needs for the sectionInterview and hire staff for the sectionPerform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teamsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited programProfessional Engineer License or equivalent10+ years' experience in specialized disciplineProject management and business development experienceQualifications PreferredExperience working with local clients at the county and state levelSupervisory experienceWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
