deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a GFC Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
The successful Software Engineer will work in a collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithm and modernize and translate Ada code to C++. The algorithms and capabilities that designed for the Engagement Planner team are mathematics and physics based complex systems visible to MDA. The selected candidate will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed in support of the Engagement Planner.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM related field.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM related field, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or 0 years with a PhD not to exceed 10 yearsExperience with solving highly mathematical and physics based complex problemsExperience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithmsRecent demonstration of Ada or C++ Software DevelopmentRecent MATLAB and Python ExperienceMust have an Interim or Active Secret ClearanceUnix/Linux Operating System ExperienceRead and interpret Modeling and SimulationMust be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environmentSpecial Skills Desired:
Experience with solving highly mathematical and physics based complex problems involving developing fire control solutionsHighly experience with Linux, scripting, and operationsPrior experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs and/or systemsExperience with automated software requirements testing and analysisExperience with Software Containerization and Orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Docker)Experience with Agile Project Management tools (Jira/Confluence) and DevSecOps tools and methods (Jenkins, Ansible, Git/Gitlab) of continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation
