We are searching for a
Staff Accountant
to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial statements. This individual will be responsible for general ledger account reconciliations and creating and entering journal entries. In addition to these responsibilities, this individual will be involved with accounting related projects.
Position is hybrid in office 2 days per week in the Channelside area. Only candidates in the Tampa Bay area will be considered.
Position Responsibilities
Prepare and enter journal entries.Prepare account reconciliations.Participate in monthly closing of general ledger to ensure accuracy while instituting time saving measures to compress the close schedule.Record manual payroll and benefits transactions on an as needed basis.Record manual payments for property taxes, interest, and insurance transactions.Record daily cash transactions and track cash accounts for U.S and Canadian entities.Assist fixed asset accountant with entering data, reviewing, and printing invoices.Support Shared Services team during Month End Close with reconciling accounts and recording journal entries as required.Perform ad hoc and special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
Able to work independently and in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus2 to 4 years work experience in Accounting; related industry experience highly preferredProficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel, Access and Word. Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.Strong communication skills including verbal and writtenAbility to work flexible hours when necessaryDCI Benefits
