Position Summary InformationResponsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Office of Human Resources, including interpretation of state and federal laws, development of university policies, consultation with employees, and managing daily operations.
Oversee HR functions such as recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, employee classification, problem resolution, training, and performance management.
Establish and cultivate strong relationships with IHL Board staff, senior campus leadership, and other units.
Provide advice and counsel to campus management regarding personnel policies and leadership development.
Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, mediate disputes, and manage the HR department budget.
Supervise and evaluate three full-time staff, recommending staffing needs.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Human Resource management.
In-depth knowledge of human resources theory and practice.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Commitment to personal integrity and confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, writing, and public speaking skills.
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Banner HRIS preferred.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
