Job Responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for oversight of all activities that support the House of Delegates and Board of Trustees. This involves oversight and direct supervision of the managers of the Board and the House. The Director is responsible for decisions which affect all aspects of the Association and balances competing interests in structuring the functioning of the governing bodies.
Must Have:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 10 years of work experience, including five years of experience in a role demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility and oversight over multiple projects
Some experience managing employees
Some experience working with volunteers and managing large group meetings
Excellent written and oral communication; project management, proof-reading, interpersonal and management skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of job responsibilities
Prioritize department activities
Handle confidential and sensitive information discretely
Understand, develop and document procedures and processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Able to travel to the Association’s Annual Session (approx. eight days) and participate at an annual session site visit (one to two days) each year
