About Our Client :

Our client is a well-established legal firm specializing in employment and family-based immigration, visa applications, waiver applications, deportation proceedings, citizenship, naturalization, and related legal services. They have a collaborative, family-oriented environment and are seeking a part-time HR Generalist to take over their HR operations.

Job Description :

The HR Generalist will play a critical role in managing the firm’s HR functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, and policy guidance. The role requires someone who can ensure compliance, manage the open enrollment process, and handle employee inquiries in a small but fast-paced office.

Key Responsibilities :

Administer employee benefits, process changes, and conduct employee training

Support and manage the annual open enrollment process

Provide HR policy guidance and resolve employee relations issues

Manage accommodation files and handle documentation

Oversee policy administration, compliance audits, and updates

Assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as needed

Qualifications :

2+ years of experience in HR or a related field

Strong knowledge of HR compliance and best practices

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work on-site 2-3 days per week, with flexible hours (9am-5pm)

Experience with benefits administration is highly preferred

Additional Details :

This is a part-time, 100% on-site role in downtown Chicago.

The position is temp-to-hire.
