The SFPUC is expanding access to clean energy for all San Franciscans through its CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power programs. We are looking for an entry-level public relations professional to assist with information and education materials, customer and stakeholder community engagement and outreach, and the development of creative content for a variety of digital and print platforms.Project name:

Power Customer Programs Marketing and CommunicationsSFPUC Communications provides ongoing communications, marketing, and outreach support to the agency’s clean energy programs -- CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power. The 1310 Public Relations Assistant will support several marketing and communications projects focused on new and existing customer programs offered to CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power customers.Essential Functions:Marketing and Customer Communications: Assist with the marketing and communications of new and existing customer programs offered to CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power customers.Community Events: Participate in local community events such as neighborhood fairs and festivals; assist with logistics, scheduling, materials, and staffing.Customer Engagement and Outreach: Support executing customer-focused events, including town halls and other outreach efforts.Website Management: Assist with updates to webpages and executing a content strategy for CleanPowerSF.org and Power content on SFPUC.gov.Content Creation: Help develop compelling and creative content for social media, e-newsletters, marketing collateral, and other communications.Records and Inventory Management: Update and organize the team’s electronic files and inventory printed materials.Racial Equity: Support implementation of the SFPUC’s Racial Equity Action Plan and integrate equity into all communications projects.Perform other related duties as required.Education:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.Substitution:

Experience in public relations or similar work may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.Desirable Qualifications:Fluency in a language other than English, preferably Cantonese.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Experience conducting community outreach or supporting public awareness campaigns.Interest in clean energy, sustainability, and the environment.Verification of Education and Experience:
