To provide our customers with high quality, efficient, and reliable water, power, and wastewater services.Job DescriptionThe San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Power Enterprise has two separate retail electric power programs -- Hetch Hetchy Power and CleanPowerSF. The Class 0941 Deputy Assistant General Manager ("DAGM"), Power Engineering & Field Operations assists, develops, and implements goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the Power Enterprise. The essential duties of this position include:Assists, develops, and implements goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the Power Enterprise.Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and reviews the operation and services of the Engineering & Field Operations Section.Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the division's organizational structure.Interacts with other SFPUC staff, Commission, and other authorities in addressing the energy needs of the City.Develops and implements operational and capital budgets and monitors expenditures.Supervises the maintenance and development of transmission and distribution services.IDEAL CANDIDATE and COMPETENCIESThe ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in:Relationship Management : Building open, honest, and respectful relationships.Strategic Planning : Formulating objectives and priorities to achieve long-term goals.Business Acumen : Developing sound budgets and plans.Change Management : Sponsoring change initiatives to drive adoption.Accountability : Acting with integrity and fairness.Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating operational risks.Talent Management : Building and developing a skilled workforce.Innovation : Creating a culture that encourages new ideas.Safety Excellence : Promoting a high standard safety culture.Valuing Diversity : Fostering an inclusive work environment.QualificationsEducation:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:

Six (6) years of professional work experience in planning, design, and implementation of electric infrastructure projects, including supervisory experience.Substitution:
