To provide our customers with high quality, efficient, and reliable water, power, and wastewater services.Job DescriptionThe San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Power Enterprise has two separate retail electric power programs. The Class 0941 Deputy Assistant General Manager ("DAGM"), Power Engineering & Field Operations assists in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the Power Enterprise. The DAGM monitors and evaluates the division’s effectiveness and efficiency, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements improvements. The essential duties of this position include:Assists, develops, and implements goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the Power Enterprise.Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and reviews the operation and services of the Engineering & Field Operations Section.Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the division’s organizational structure.Interacts with other SFPUC staff and local, state, and federal authorities.Develops and implements operational and capital budgets.Supervises the maintenance and development of transmission and distribution services.IDEAL CANDIDATE and COMPETENCIESThe ideal candidate will be a confident, results-oriented leader who is passionate about the environment and public service. Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:

Six (6) years of professional work experience in planning, design, and implementation of electric infrastructure projects, including supervisory experience.
