Job Summary
The Mailroom Assistant will assist in receiving, delivering, and shipping all mail, parcels and freight for the University.
Essential DutiesReceive, sort, and document all incoming mail, parcels, and freight.Deliver items to departments across campus.Process outgoing mail and parcels meeting USPS guidelines.Deliver outgoing mail and parcels to shipping establishments.Meet daily deadlines.Follows directions and proceduresRequired Qualifications
MWSU StudentDegree SeekingAt least an overall 2.0 GPAEnrolled at least part-timeValid Driver's License is required.Preferred Qualifications
Prefer ability to read cursive
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ResponsibleDependableOrganizedHas strong attention to detail.TeamworkKnow or able to learn the department locations across campusPersonable and communicates with faculty, staff, and fellow students in a personable and pleasant manner.
Physical DemandsMedium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Additional Demands
Able to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion.
