We have an immediate need for a Business Systems Associate to work out of our Los Angeles office and actively participate in various innovative projects. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail coupled with accounting experience, and a high interest in applications support and development to deliver solid end results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide administrative application support with a focus on system configuration, access control, and troubleshootingTrain users on financial applications, and develop effective operating procedures for the firmGather project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with business users and stakeholdersVerify business requirements for completeness, accuracy, comprehensibility, scalability, and conformity to best practicesTranslate business user requirements into functional specifications for a technical teamWork with clients and Business Systems team to configure and roll out financial system functionality neededExecute user acceptance test plan, coordinate testing efforts including volume testing or unit testing as applicablePerform deployment plans with the Business Systems teamDeliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and analysisSupport and maintain financial systems by facilitating automation initiatives and ensuring operational continuity for the Accounting and Finance teamsProvide innovative solutions to solve business problems in a fast-paced environmentEnsure that issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely mannerEstablish, build, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments as neededExperience and Skills

Bachelors degree from an accredited university, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferredMinimum 2+ years of project management experience preferredFamiliarity with Workflow Design, MS Access, MS Visio, MS PowerPointStrong MS Excel skills for modeling, data validation and scenario analysis requiredPrior system implementation and or migration experience preferredIntrinsic ability to execute projects successfully from start to completionExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust possess critical-thinking skills, strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills to help research and troubleshoot problems efficiently and effectivelyAbility to overcome challenges and perform under high pressure stakesStrong commitment to provide quality results to external and internal clientsMust be able to work effectively with minimal supervisionAbility to manage time and prioritize workloadJob BenefitsAs part of the overall compensation package, Wedbush Securities (WS) offers an array of diverse benefits to our Colleagues.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $70,000-$93,000.
