Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center is seeking a dynamic and engaging Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties to support the financial operations of our organization. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reportsAssist in the month-end and year-end closing processesConduct bank and account reconciliationsAssist with budget preparation and variance analysisMaintain fixed asset and depreciation schedulesAssist with grant financial reporting and complianceProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsAssist with payroll processing and related tasksEnsure compliance with accounting principles and company policiesProvide support for audits and other financial reviewsCollaborate with other departments to address financial matters and provide financial guidance and supportStay up-to-date on industry advancements and changes in accounting regulationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financeStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reportingStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Intermediate proficiency in advanced accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics, Net Suite, MIP) and Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet deadlines and handle multiple prioritiesExperience with nonprofit accounting and grants management is a plusKnowledge of federal grants management preferredBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Training & Development
