Position Overview

Join our dynamic Emergency Services Department and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical programs. In this role, you'll prepare, review, and interpret essential data to maintain accuracy and compliance with department policies. You'll also provide vital secretarial and administrative support to the team, including creating Fire Marshal Inspection Invoices. Additionally, you'll assist in entering timesheets to help streamline payroll processes.

Using assigned software, processes invoices for vendor paymentsPrepares Fire Marshal inspection invoicesPrepares ABC application packets for vendor permitsPrepares Fire stations monthly water usage reportAssist supervisor in entering payrollManages and maintains files to document department related personnel files and timesheetsProvides files and documents to those with authority to viewAnswer phone and greet visitors providing requested information or referral to the appropriate unitSearches files and/or computer database to answer inquiries as necessaryAssist with coordinating meetings and other events; ensures availability of rooms, equipment, refreshments, etc.; contacts various parties to notify of meetings or other events; coordinates travel and lodging arrangementsAttends LEPC and Public Safety Task Force meetings to record proceedings and prepares/distributes meeting minutesMinimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two (2) year of experience in the assigned program area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary additional requirements:

Successful completion of Keyboarding, Data Entry, Basic Math, Customer Service, Reading Comprehension, Spelling and Intermediate Excel and Word tests will be required. Candidates selected as qualified will be contacted via email by a Human Resource representative for testing.
